What needs to change in education to get more young people interested in business

"Inventor!". At the age of four, that was my answer to the question of what I wanted to be when I grew up. It was the idea of developing and building something brand new from scratch that could make other people's lives easier in some way. It took another 13 years before I figured out for myself, through the Boston Consulting Group's business@school seminar course, that founding a startup was the right way to be able to do just that. It took another three years, until today, to develop competencies and attitudes that are essential for the mindset of founders. Various impulses, an award ceremony, a study orientation year and an internship have brought me to the point where I am today.

I graduated from high school in 2020 and, thanks to a scholarship, will start studying business administration and computer science in London in a few months.
The mindset that is taught in school does not fit in many facets with that of future founders and all other people who want to grow in their lives and achieve great goals.
​
If the Germany of tomorrow is to be enchanted by the spirit of entrepreneurship, this attitude must be instilled at school.
