What the school of today must learn to make the founders of tomorrow

First of all, I would like to make it clear that this is not about all students starting a business directly after graduating from high school or even while still at school. However, students should at least be shown this possible path.


Ever since I was 17 years old, I've wanted to found a startup. I owe the fact that I discovered this passion for myself to the Boston Consulting Group's "business@school" seminar course, in which I participated in the eleventh grade. Before that, this kind of career wasn't on my radar at all. The path that students are prepared for is clear: After graduating from high school, they go on to study and then enter into an employment relationship, from which they can climb the career ladder bit by bit. For many students, this may be a suitable, good and secure path. However, especially as a young person, you have the opportunity to be brave and take risks. In order to prepare the founders of tomorrow for their future, the right mindset and special soft skills are necessary. In order to give them these things, today's schools still have a lot to learn.
